1. Dust Protection: Because G10 is made from compressed fiberglass, machining it produces a fine, irritating dust. Always wear a high-quality respirator mask (N95 or P100), safety goggles, and work in a well-ventilated space.

2. Use Sharp Belts: G10 is highly abrasive and will dull standard sanding belts quickly. Use fresh, sharp ceramic or silicon carbide belts to cut cleanly through the fiberglass without scorching or overheating the resin.

3. Bringing Out the Pop: After shaping, hand sand the scales progressively from 400-grit up to 1500-grit wet/dry paper.
