Cylindrical Diamond Engineering. Flawless Curved Edges. Perfect Fixed-Angle Precision.
Standard flat sharpening stones are excellent for straight kitchen knives, but they struggle to reach inside the concave belly of a recurve blade or into tight serrations. The Cylinder Grinding Diamond Rod Whetstone is the ultimate solution for complex blade geometries. Designed as a direct-fit accessory for the Ruixin Pro RX008 (and similar fixed-angle systems), this 6mm diamond rod allows you to bring precision, guided sharpening to karambits, hook knives, scimitars, and serrated tools. Say goodbye to dull recurves and expertly restore every inch of your blade’s unique cutting edge.
Key Performance Features
-
Purpose-Built for Curves & Serrations: The 6mm cylindrical profile perfectly conforms to concave blade geometries, allowing you to sharpen the inside curve of tactical recurve blades and individual knife serrations smoothly and evenly.
-
Aggressive Diamond Abrasives: Featuring high-density electroplated diamonds bonded to a rigid stainless steel core, this rod easily cuts through ultra-hard modern super steels (like S30V, M390, or D2) and ceramic blades without wearing down.
-
Seamless System Compatibility: Specifically dimensioned at a standard 150mm length, this rod drops straight into the Ruixin Pro RX008 fixed angle sharpener arm. This ensures you maintain a locked-in, consistent sharpening angle for the trickiest blade shapes.
-
Zero Prep & No Flattening Required: Unlike traditional synthetic water stones that dish out in the middle and require constant flattening, this solid steel diamond rod will never change shape. It requires zero soaking and is ready to sharpen immediately.

Sharpener’s Guide & Pro Tips
To get the absolute best performance and maximum lifespan out of your cylindrical diamond rod:
-
Let the Diamonds Do the Work: Avoid heavy downward pressure. Diamond abrasives cut aggressively on their own; applying too much pressure can prematurely dislodge the diamond particles from the steel core. Use light, sweeping strokes.
-
Use a Light Lubricant: While diamond rods can be used dry, applying a few drops of water or honing oil will suspend the metal swarf (steel dust), preventing the rod from clogging up and keeping your sharpening strokes feeling smooth.
-
Mastering Serrated Edges: When sharpening a serrated blade, mount the rod in your fixed angle system and work the 6mm rod exclusively on the beveled side of the serrations. Finish by lightly stroking the flat back of the blade with a flat stone to remove the final burr.
