To achieve a flawless, translucent glass-like finish on your custom C-Tek handles:

1. Keep it Cool: When grinding C-Tek on a belt sander, use sharp, fresh belts and light pressure. Excessive friction can generate high heat, which may slightly soften or smear the resin edges next to the aluminum walls.

2. Dust Protection: As with all resin and composite materials, always wear a high-quality respirator mask (N95 or P100) and eye protection to prevent inhaling fine sanding particles.

3. The Polishing Trick: Progressive hand sanding is key. Hand sand wet/dry from 400-grit up to 2000-grit to blend the aluminum grid smoothly with the resin. Finish with a clean buffing wheel using a plastic polishing compound (like blue or white rouge) for a jaw-dropping crystal shine.
