1. Lubrication is Essential: Always use a lubricant to float away the microscopic steel filings (swarf). For Green Silicon Carbide, a light mineral oil or dedicated sharpening oil keeps the stone cutting at peak performance. If you choose to use water, keep the surface thoroughly saturated during the entire process.
